A European Portuguese course built around the work of a TVDE (ride-hailing) driver: welcoming passengers, confirming routes, handling requests and dealing with the unexpected situations of the job.
Objectives:
General
Develop basic spoken communication skills in European Portuguese, applied to the professional context of passenger transport.
Specific
• Greet, introduce yourself and welcome the passenger correctly;
• Confirm the destination, the route and the passenger’s preferences;
• Understand and give simple directions and time references;
• Handle common situations: delays, route changes, payments and special requests;
• Keep a short, courteous conversation going during the ride;
• Pronounce the essential vocabulary of the job clearly.
TARGET AUDIENCE
TVDE drivers, and candidates to the activity, who are not native speakers of Portuguese and need to communicate with passengers and with the platforms.
Entry requirements:
• Access to a computer or smartphone with camera, microphone and headphones, and an internet connection;
• Basic skills in using email and browsing web pages.
Format and duration: online · 25 hours.
